Breaking Barriers & Building Pathways: British Columbia

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating South Asian women who don’t just break barriers, they build pathways for others to follow. Many of us know what it’s like to be the first, the only, or one of very few in the room. This gathering is about the resilience it takes to push forward, and the generosity it takes to reach back.

In British Columbia, we’re hosting an intimate conversation with women redefining leadership, excellence, and visibility across sport, research, and fashion:

  • Pari Goyal – Canadian National Team Rhythmic Gymnast & UBC Student Researcher

  • Davinder Bains Gill – Founder & Fashion Designer, Armaan DBG

  • Hermina Khara – Partner at Odgers, Regional Ambassador for Women Get On Board & Board Member, Better Not Bitter

From elite athletics and academia to entrepreneurship and creative leadership, our panelists will share what it’s like to navigate systems not built for them and how they’ve carved space anyway.

Laadliyan’s Annual International Women’s Day events are spaces where stories are honoured, labour is seen, and futures feel a little more possible. Click here to register.
